A colorful villa in the heart of The Hague: Timeless elegance and bold design

Located in one of The Hague's most beautiful neighborhoods, this stately four-story residence reflects the charm and grandeur of classical architecture. Of course, the property already has many classical style elements that give it a timeless appeal. However, in collaboration with the residents, we gave the house a modern and colorful twist, transforming each floor into a vibrant and welcoming home.

The family home provided the perfect foundation for a bold interior design. The residents, who have a strong preference for bright colors and bold patterns, challenged us to make their vision a reality. To reflect their personal style, we used wallpapers from the prestigious Cole & Son brand to adorn the walls with detailed, artistic patterns. Velvet upholstery and carefully selected decorative rugs give the rooms a luxurious and sophisticated feel, with rich textures that are not only visually appealing, but also add to the comfort of the home.

This bold choice of materials and designs was carried through to every room in the house, from the children's rooms to the living room to the kitchen. The use of different colors and patterns that may seem disparate at first glance were carefully curated to create a cohesive whole. The thoughtful use of color accents, textures and decorative elements struck a balance between playfulness and elegance, giving the home a warm, inviting feel without compromising sophistication.
