Byron & Jones specializes in creating the perfect interior with designer furniture and top-quality upholstery. The company, led by Lars Temmink, is known for staying ahead of trends and finding the right balance between surprise and familiarity. This approach has earned them the trust of a large clientele.
An example of their work is the restyling of a cubic villa in Ypenburg, for which interior designers Inge den Exter and Ellen Steentjes were given almost complete freedom. The owner, inspired by the revamped Byron & Jones showroom, requested an update to the interior, where the layout was revised and new elements such as transparent doors were added.
The Byron & Jones team doesn’t have a fixed style but fully focuses on the client's wishes. For the villa, a wallpaper by Elitis was chosen, serving as the foundation for the rest of the design. A standout feature is a caramel-colored, modular Poliform sofa, which gives the space an organic shape, complemented by a soft beige rug from Frankly Amsterdam.
Inge emphasizes the importance of a feminine touch in the interior, with rounded shapes, soft colors, and tactile materials. The villa consists of various atmospheres, subtly connected by materials like walnut, marble, leather, and bronze. The result is a timeless interior, where Byron & Jones always strives for a forward-thinking yet sustainable design.
